funky monkey slippers.

Even when the rain falls
Even when the flood starts rising
Even when the storm comes
I am washed by the water

Even if the Earth crumbles under my feet
Even if the ones I love turn around and crucify me
I won't never ever let you down
won't fall,
won't fall,
won't fall as long as you're around me

Even when the rain falls
Even when the flood starts rising
Even when the storm comes
I am washed by the water

today is a really good day. i slept better this morning than i have in a week. i also got a lot of mail today. i got a new netflix movie (Don Juan de Marco), my paycheck and letters from mom and dad, and a huge care package from Aunt Amy. she sent me awesome stuff, too. cereal bowls, amazing slippers, febreeze, little cups of diced pears (which is awesome because i havent had fruit in like a week. i have veggies cause i bought green beans and i have lots of potatoes and salad in the cafeteria...but no fruit. so that was awesome), chips ahoy, oreos, nutter butters, cheese gold fish, animal crackers, Reeces no-bake dessert mix, spongebob shaped instant macaroni, and eclipse gum! its crazy. so now i have a ton of fun stuff to eat lol. my food drawer practically wont shut. but luckily, i will never ever be hungry. ever. lol. and honestly, i dont eat in the cafeteria that much. i should, but i am not hungry often. aaron says its because im still adjusting to my surroundings. that is probably it. in any case, ive been snacking a lot today lol. and i have already gotten many compliments on my new slippers. nothing makes me feel better than a new pair of slippers. its as if she can read my mind lol.

anyways. when a day starts out so good, how can it get bad? it cant. because tonight i am going to play halo and go to a party at delta chi. and those things are both fun. lol. by the way, for those of you interested....dinner went very well last night. i think joel liked it. hes still really mopey, but he came out of his shell for a bit. i am also getting to know phil a lot better. i like him more than i used to. so thats good. =]

aaaaaaaand right now i am eating instant spongebob macaroni (thanks again, auntie dearest =]) and i think i am going to write in my journal for a while. or maybe take a nap. the possibilities are literally endless! lol. today is good.

Teensy confession - your mom helped a little with the suggestions, but those slippers? Those were ALL ME! (After she said "no pink, it's not really her thing").

Glad you liked it. Glad you are settling in, feeling better, sounding happy. I love you kiddo! MWAH!

I'm loving reading about you and your new experience. I already feel like I know you, the real who you are, so much better. Keep it up. You are an amazingly talented young woman and one who I am proud to call grand daughter. About time I got here, eh?

Thanks for sharing. Love you. MO
